Kitagenda means “he who walks late”, in other words for babies who take a while to make their first steps. But this name actually belonged to a Ranger who died, so in no way was Kitagenda actually a late developer.

Kitagenda is a funny gorilla and is sooooo cheeky. A real little monkey! He has always been in good health and we have never been worried about him.

He gets along well with the whole group, and keeps a respectful distance like all his peers from his father. The babies are the ones who get the closest to the head of the family during grooming.
